A Satisfying Sort of Self-Sabotage

I created a map of my skin, focusing on the accumulation of marks due to pimple-popping. A product of looking too closely and striving for (unattainable) perfection. It is the paradox of wanting to improve my appearance, but damaging it more in the process, disguising it as self-care. At the same time, there is a helpless sense of relief, even satisfaction, that comes with expelling the contents of a spot, exercising control over the uncontrollable.
