Homesickness

Beginning with the colour palette rather than the subject matter, this painting explores personal emotional connections that exist within colour relationships. I prioritized conveying the feeling I get when driving to my new house. Although I can appreciate the beauty of nature, there is a distant sadness that threatens to overwhelm such blue skies.
